This is not a guaranteed price, like any calculator it's only as good as the info you put into it, but it should give you a good ballpark! List of things that can increase the complexity of your taxes:
(Note, this list is not exhaustive! Small counts as 1, Medium as 2, High as 3-4)

Small increases:

More than 5 income documents
Dependents or Head of Household
Teacher and student loan deductions
Education Credits
Previous Year Return


Medium increases: 
Health Insurance-related issues like Marketplace subsidies, self-employed deduction, state exemptions, HSAs
Stock or Crypto Transactions
IRA deductions or simple rollovers
Child Care Credits
EITC
Simple Schedule Cs (1099NECs)

Itemized Deductions - Mortgage interest and property taxes, monetary charity or medical expenses, taxable refunds

High increases:
Complex Schedule Cs - lots of spreadsheet work and deductions
Home offices, Vehicle expenses and Depreciation on a Sch C

Base return price starts at $200 and increases based on complexity. 
Each state starts at base price $15
(note for states - you only have to file in states you lived or worked in during 2022, refunds from states you filed for 2021 do not add states)

All dates are the same for both appt and email returns. 
Early bird discounts are only for current year returns (2022), previous year returns not eligible. 

Other discounts
$5 off per year you are with me after your first! (Limit 11 years, $50 off)
Sliding scale: $20 off for incomes under $15k, $15 off for incomes between $15k and $30k, $10 off for incomes between $30k and $45k, and $5 off for incomes between $45k and $60k. 

What can I do to keep the price down?
A lot of things are of course out of your control, like how many docs you have or needing to do deductions or credits.  But you can be as early as possible, responsive to emails from me, and fully fill out my forms and spreadsheets to the best of your ability so it doesn't take extra work to get you finished.
