Hi folks! Rather than having a specific deadline to get your stuff in by, there are 250 spots in the queue to get your return done by the April 15th deadline. Once those spots are full, the next 50 people in the queue will get a personalized extension estimate. For anyone in the queue after that I will file an extension for you, but you will have make your own estimate of what to pay with help from Jen's Rule of Thumb. So there isn't a specific deadline, but once slots are full for the regular season, they are full, and everyone else gets an extension.
To make the extension as little of an incovenience as possible, I will maintain my Tax Season schedule of working 10 hours a day for an extra month, til May 15, so that I will be able to complete returns for most people who turn their stuff in before Apr 15 and files an extension with me within one month.
Extension Discount! Like last year, I am offering discounts for people who submit their Organizer but elect to do an extension. After Feb 22, If there are still regular season slots available when you submit your Organizer, I will give you a discount of $10 if you elect to take an Extension With Estimate spot, or a $20 discount if you elect to do an Extension with your own estimate. This discount will end once regular season slots are full, there is no discount for an extension once I run out of space. There is a question on the Organizer about taking this discount option.
New Clients: Returning clients do get priority. There are 5 slots reserved for new clients of the 250 during the regular season, and 5 of the 50 Extension Estimate spots. After that, all new clients will need a Regular Extension with their own estimate. I will note here how many new client spots remain for the regular season. (Note, if I did NOT do your 2024 return during 2025, you are a new client, even if I did a prior year)
